SERVE OUR CITY DURING OKC MEMORIAL MARATHON ON APRIL 28TH, 2024

This year during the OKC Memorial Marathon, on Sunday, April 28th, Frontline Downtown will not be holding our 9 am and 11 am services. Instead of our morning services, we will be serving the city on mission by course marshaling the race. We will only be holding our Sunday night service at 5 pm.

The bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah building on April 19th, 1995 was one of the most defining moments in the history of Oklahoma City. For years, our city has held the Memorial Marathon, not only to remember those who lost their lives that day but to remember a city in its darkest hour pulling together to overcome. We will be coming together as a church to push back darkness in our city.

We would like to ask everyone who attends Frontline Downtown to join us on mission the morning of April 28th. We will be coming together as communities to cheer on the runners, as well as, protect them by shutting down intersections.

We have pledged to provide 100 volunteers to course marshal the first 50 intersections of the race. Let’s show up to really serve our city well and at least meet that need.

To sign up:

  1. Go to the Memorial Marathon Website and sign up to volunteer.
  2. Select "Course Marshal"
  3. Volunteer Shift: Team Frontline Church
  4. Watch the Course Marshal video on the web page
  5. Attend Course Marshal Training to receive a volunteer shirt and gear on April 27th at 3pm at Frontline Downtown.

For all who sign up, we will have a 1-hour training Saturday, April 27th at 3 pm to hand out your volunteer shirts and equipment and answer any questions you have.

We are proud to be on mission with you for the glory of God and the good of our city!
